Last week was a great week. Andrea's brother was married in Orlando last weekend and of course that meant that we had to go down there for it. This is how the week went. We drove to Jacksonville Fl, with Andreas mom and her brother Kyle. We left Charlotte at 7:00 pm on Friday the 23rd of May which meant that we arrived in Jacksonville around 3:00 am. We stayed the night there at a friends house and drove to Tampa the next day. We stayed in a condo in downtown Tampa (it belongs to family that Carolyn knows) that was a bout a half hour from any beach in the area. Saturday afternoon, Sunday and Monday morning were devoted to the beach and we had a great time lying on the beach and swimming in the ocean.
Monday afternoon was spent travelling to Orlando so we could play at Disney World on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday was spent at Magic Kingdom and we went on 19 rides, we did a few of the rides twice, and watched a few parades and of course the fireworks display at the end of the day. We were at Epcot all of Wednesday, there weren't that many rides there, but they have a World Showcase that has various countries with shows about the countries and cuisine from those countries, we ate at a Moroccan place that night. It was pretty good food. There was a show at the end of the day called "Illuminations" that was really good. On Thursday we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM Studios) and did a few rides there also and a bunch of shows including an extreme car stunt show and an Indiana Jones stunt show. Friday was the day that Chris and Leigh were married, it was a good ceremony. Saturday was the reception and then we drove home on sunday.
All in all it was a great vacation, just what I needed to get away from work for a few days.
